After-School Basketball Class
Our after-school basketball class in Long Beach and surrounding cities helps elementary school children develop fundamental skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting in a fun and active environment. With engaging drills and games, kids build confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game!

Youth Leagues
Our youth basketball leagues provide a fun and competitive environment for players ages 3-17. Tiny Ballers (ages 3-6) focus on basic skills and teamwork, while
D-Up Ballers (ages 7-17) develop advanced fundamentals and game strategy. Affordable and exciting, our leagues help young athletes grow their skills and love for the game!

Basketball Academies
The D-Up Basketball Academy offers year-round training for boys and girls at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels. Classes focus on skill development, game fundamentals, and teamwork. Sessions vary in length based on age, with elementary classes lasting 1 hour, junior high classes 1.5 hours, and high school classes up to 2 hours.

Travel Team
Skilled boys and girls ages 9-18 can compete at a higher level with the D-Up Travel Team. Each player is guaranteed at least 10 minutes of playing time per game, ensuring meaningful development and experience in competitive tournaments.

Tournaments
Our NCAA-sanctioned tournaments feature unique defensive-based divisions (man defense only, zone defense only, and mixed). Advancement is based on defensive performance, not just wins. Tournaments include a shot clock, pool play, playoffs, and championship games, plus fun events like 3-point contests, free throw challenges, dunk contests, and DJ-hosted activities.

Camps
D-Up Basketball offers 3-5 day camps for boys and girls ages 6-18, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and competition. Camps include defensive training, college prep, team play, summer sessions, and parent-child bonding, with drills, scrimmages, and special guest appearances.

COACH'S CORNER
D-Up Basketball was founded by James Christian. James has been coaching basketball for the last 10 plus years, working with over 10,000 children throughout his basketball career through camps and private trainings. While instilling fundamental skills, he also strives to teach life-skills for players to take with them beyond the game.
